Chamonix Mont Blanc Vintage 1920s Ski Poster

Designed by Roger Broders, one of the most celebrated French Art Deco travel poster artists of the 1920s, this piece promoted winter sports at Chamonix-Mont Blanc for the Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée (PLM) railway. Broders built his career almost entirely on PLM commissions, producing some of the defining images of interwar French leisure travel — elegant figures in motion against dramatic Alpine backdrops, rendered in his signature bold, flat color style. This piece captures a skater mid-glide against the glowing peaks of Mont Blanc, with fellow skaters and the village below.

Restored from the archival scan, preserving the original vivid orange, blue, and cream palette.
